Bookkeeper - Temp-to-Hire

Pay: $26 - $30 per hour

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong QuickBooks experience, a solid understanding of accounts payable, and comfort working with general ledger functions. This role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing day-to-day accounting operations with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, posting, and weekly payment runs
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Process bank and credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Record journal entries, adjustments, and accruals as needed
• Prepare and maintain financial records, supporting month-end close
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting documents and files
• Assist with accounts receivable, billing, and cash application as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support financial accuracy
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop or Online for all daily bookkeeping functions

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of recent bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online)
• Experience with AP processing and general ledger maintenance
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
